I keep telling myself that I’ll write here more often. And then I never do. But I’ve done a lot since the last time I posted here – when even was that?
I changed jobs. FINALLY.
I’ve been to lots of weddings.
I did a LOT of sewing, most of which lives on my Instagram these days. A lot of it has been props for LARP, all of which I generally forget to take photos of. And I’ve made some clothes, mostly casual tops, LARP kit and the odd party dress.
And, surprisingly, I contributed to an anthology assembled by my friend AC Macklin. She’s brilliant, talented, and I often find myself scrambling to meet her lexical register. As my post history here suggests, I don’t write nearly as often as I used to, and I didn’t really think that the idea I had had would fit her standards, but there you go.
I have also done a LOT of new things in LARP. I’ve done more monstering/crewing than playing so far this year, and that’s set to continue. I tried Shadow Wars, a cyberpunk futuristic airsoft/LRP that’s sadly wrapped up since, and monstered an event held in severla miles of dank underground tunnels.
It’s safe to say that so far, this year has brought a lot of new things my way. It’s good. More of that. Onwards!
