The Year of Shit That Fits Me

2

February 2, 2014 by New Capel Street: Fabric Division

I made one New Year’s resolution this year – to wear clothes that fit properly. It’s been a long time since I paid much attention to the fit of my clothes, and I’m big enough and ugly enough to change that. I took the first step towards succeeding in this goal during the week, when I talked my housemate into wrapping me in duct tape.

Introducing: Broomhilda! She’s got a socket in the base to put on a stand, which I’m planning to improv out of a brush handle and a bucket of sand or rocks or something.

I’m excited by this, even if she did give me a stern wakeup as to how dire my posture is!

You could Use a spare christmas tree holder for Broomhildas stand 🙂

I definitely could! I tried calling a charity shop to see if they had any old umbrella/coat stands that could be cut down to size, and apparently they’re so rare these days that they fly right out. And I am *not* spending €80 on a new stand, only to chop half of it off!
