Yep, I’m 26. How did that happen? My dad, forty years my senior, said this today “I don’t know how the time passed so quick, or where all those years went. Although I suppose when you’re one, and turn two, that’s 100% of an increase in your age, but when you’re sixty-six and a year passes, it’s a much smaller proportion of your whole life.” He’s a smart man, and I love him very much.
I don’t usually bother celebrating my birthday, or making any kind of a big deal of it. It seems like more effort than is necessary for little ole me, and I get embarrassed by the social pressure involved in hosting a birthday party. But this year’s is being awesome, as my mum gave me a knit-and-felt-your-own-beads kit, from which I intend to use the yarn only, and my housemates gave me a set of Symfonie interchangeable tips and cables: http://www.knitpro.eu/Materialwise-size-Details.asp?id=5
Needless to say, I can’t wait to play with the new pretties, but I had better make that hat first. I am going to look awesome in it. Honest. If only my RSI wasn’t acting up – I don’t really want to knit with my forearm going twang every time I pick up the needles.
